Congratulations to Gareth Andrews and his team who held a successful night of cards at Ivybridge Cricket Club this weekend. To date we have raised £300 towards the MOWer appeal. A steady start but we need to accelerate to reach our £2,000 target by the end of March so please support our events and if you think of any new ones you are able to organise then please let Martin Templar, Joe Benson or the Committee know.
Upcoming dates for your diary include:
- Our Annual General Meeting when we will decide on our MOWdus operandi (way of working) for the year ahead will be discussed and decided. This is YOUR opportunity to hear about YOUR club and ask YOUR questions so please support the AGM this Thursday 21st at 7.30pm at the clubhouse.
- The quiz night on February 5th is steadily filling but we still have spaces so please let Martin know on devonknights@hotmail.co.uk if you’d like a team.
- HOT NEWS just in is that Tesco have offered us the chance to do a bag pack from 10am to 4pm on Saturday February 20th. This is an event for colts, parents and adult members and is an amazing opportunity to raise some funds especially as Lee Mill is the highest trading Tesco store in the south west! Please contact Nikki on johnson250@btinternet.com if you can help with this one. We have about 20 tills to cover in 2 hour shifts so will need at least 60 adults for this one plus colts so please help if you can.
- And finally, thank you to Josh Zimmerman who has joined the runners for the Plymouth Half Marathon taking our team to 6. If you’d like to join us to raise some funds for the MOWer then please let Jerry know on jerry@atlyric.co.uk
Many thanks all and remember, “Get MOWtivated!”
