Former Ivybridge Cricket Club 1st XI captain, Gary Aldridge, sadly passed away last Thursday evening at Derriford hospital, where he was being treated for pneumonia. Filham Park played host when Devon U13’s took on Gloucestershire on Sunday 1st June in a 40 over match. Devon ran out comfortable winners in then by 6 wickets. The club extension work has been in progress during the early months of 2014. With not a lot of help from ‘Mother Nature’, the additional building work to the Pavilion at Filham Park is due to be finished in time for the first 1st XI home game of the season against Shobrooke Park on Saturday 10th
Guy Ansell, a former ICC junior will be climbing the 3 highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland in a 48 hr period in May to raise money for Cancer Research. At the peaks he will be wearing an Ivybridge Cricket Club shirt a photo of which I will send to the local newspapers IF
