Following the issue of updated ECB guidance, the committee are pleased to confirm an update to the current operations of the club.

Starting from tomorrow, Sunday 7th June, the nets will be available to book for groups of up to 6 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and at weekends through the Skedda system.

As before, can the person making the booking confirm who will be attending in that group by making a comment in the “notes” section of the booking request. Only one net should be used i.e. please do not split into two groups one in each net.

For the moment, please do not use the bowling machine in those groups of 6, unless Andy Johnson is present to operate it. We are working on some operating procedures for the bowling machine.

Members are requested to bring all their own equipment and not share any equipment, including cricket balls. Please return balls to bowlers with your bat, not by picking up and throwing.

Members should bring their own refreshments and hand sanitiser. Social distancing should be applied at all times. If you touch any surface in the net please make sure you clean it and wash your hands afterwards.

As before, the changing rooms will not be open at all. The upstairs toilet will be available. The bar will be unlocked but only to enable access to the first aid kit.

All users should be members of the club, and have paid a reduced membership subscription (£5 for juniors, £10 for adults). THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you are not a paid up member your use of the nets is not covered by club insurance. If anyone needs the club bank account details please contact Jon Sparkes. If you are booking or using the nets and have not paid please do so as soon as possible – your booking will be refused if this reasonable request is not adhered to.

The ladies will be returning to structured training on a night of the week to be confirmed under the supervision of Stacey and Jerry. Once the ladies have confirmed which night of the week they will be using I will adjust the booking system to block it out.

The older junior age groups (Under 15s, 14s and 13s) will also be returning to structured training on Friday evenings starting on Friday 12th June from 6pm – 8pm. The nets will not otherwise be available on Fridays accordingly.

Stafford will be in touch with the relevant colts parents via email directly.

The colts sessions will initially be for a maximum of 15 children who will need to be positively confirm they will be attending. The sessions will be run in 3 groups of 5, each group rotating between an area of the ground (outfield, artificial and nets) over a 2 hour session. Each group will have a coach allocated and will operate in a “bubble” i.e. there will be no interaction between each group of 5. We would ask that parents do not congregate at the club and respect social distancing when dropping their children off.

For the time being, the logistics around a return to training for younger age groups (Under 12s downwards) mean we are unable to safely accommodate those age groups. We hope to be able to do so later in the summer.

If anyone has any questions, please contact Jon Sparkes or any other member of the committee.
