Over the winter we have been working on a few plans to upgrade our facilities at Filham Park.

The first of these is to refurbish our clubhouse/bar area to make it more welcoming for all our visitors.  This will involve both the acquisition of some new furniture but also a change to the lighting to improve the ambience.  The changes to the lighting are also aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the club via LED bulbs.

We are also hoping to acquire a public access defibrillator.  This will be an important health & safety feature for the club and a key benefit to all users of Filham Park.

We are hoping to fund these projects through a Crowdfunder – you can find details of this here Ivybridge Cricket Clubhouse Refurb & Defibrillator – a Community crowdfunding project in Ivybridge by Jon Sparkes (crowdfunder.co.uk)

Our other important project is to upgrade the showers in the changing rooms.  We are currently awaiting the outcome of an ECB Small Grants application which will go a long way to funding this project.  As our members will know the showers rely on a token system and are very outdated.  They use more water and energy than they should and we are hoping the upgrade can take place during the 2023 season.
