Well done the Colts section!

Saturday’s bag pack at Tesco Lee Mill raised £613.54 towards the MOWer fund which has now amassed £1,600 in total. Special thanks to Chris Greenhouse who secured the opportunity, Nikki Johnson for stewarding the troops and the colts, parents and coaches for packing bags with such a positive and polite attitude. Some of our Colts were there for the full 6 hours and didn’t MOWn throughout so the coach’s fitness and stamina work must be working! Well done guys. MOWmentous effort.

The MOWer fundraising campaign has exceeded the committee’s expectations to date so we have been challenged with a new target. The outfield MOWer we intend to purchase will cost well in excess of £5,000. We have raised £1,600 in less than 2 months, so could we raise another £3,400 by the end of May and go a long way to fully funding the MOWer? Joe Benson and I believe that with your help we can and so we have agreed to continue as the MOWer fundraising campaign leads until the end of May.

We have 3 events in the calendar already namely:

1. An all day 6 Nations deCIDER on March 19th at the club organised by Joe
2. 6 members are running the Plymouth 1/2 Marathon on April 17th – justgiving sponsorship details will be issued shortly
3. A fancy dress party at the club on April 23rd organised by Joe and Martin

These are great events and will help towards our target but we need more ideas and events if we are going to make our new £5,000 target. How about a Beetle drive, an auction of promises, a race night, car washing, a Co-Op bag pack, a park run, a sponsored silence etc etc?

Adult nets start this coming Thursday when we will be asking ideas of the senior players and if parents or players have further ideas and are prepared to make them happen then please contact Martin on 07966 326852 or Joe on 07877 158676.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it was built. Come with us on the journey as we MOWbilise, get MOWtivated, raise the MOWney and secure the MOWer.
