On a showery day at Ivybridge Cricket Club, teams from local primary schools gathered for the annual Ivybridge Learning Community Kwik Cricket Tournament. Teams from Cornwood, Ermington, Holbeton, Ivybridge, Manor, Shaugh Prior, Stowford and Woodlands all participated.
The final of the tournament was played out by Woodlands and Manor’s A team and it went down to the final delivery. Woodlands took 24 from the final over including a 6 off the last ball to tie the game and share the trophy.
All teams enjoyed the day despite early rain showers and the standard of cricket was very good considering many players didn’t play for club sides.
